Editorial Guidelines
AI Saved Me documents real stories of how people are using artificial intelligence to solve problems in their lives. These guidelines explain how we review and publish those stories.
AI Saved Me publishes real stories from people who have experienced a meaningful benefit from artificial intelligence.
Our goal is simple: document real examples of how AI is helping people today — from life-changing moments to everyday small wins.
To maintain credibility and trust, we follow a set of editorial principles when reviewing and publishing stories.
1. We publish real experiences
Stories on AI Saved Me are based on real experiences shared by individuals.
Submissions may describe a wide range of outcomes, including:
- solving a difficult problem
- saving significant time or effort
- improving learning or productivity
- enabling a creative project
- supporting health or wellbeing
- small everyday improvements
Not every story involves a dramatic outcome. Some are simple examples of how AI helped someone in a practical way.
Together, these stories illustrate the many ways people are using AI in their lives.
2. Stories are reviewed before publication
All submissions are reviewed before appearing on the Site.
During editorial review we may:
- edit wording for clarity or length
- correct grammar or formatting
- add categories or impact labels
- normalize the names of AI tools mentioned
- add contextual information when helpful
- use AI-assisted tools to help structure or clarify submissions
We aim to preserve the voice and intent of the original author while making stories easy to read and understand.
3. We classify stories to help readers explore
Published stories are organized using two systems.
Categories
Stories are grouped by the area of life they relate to, such as:
- Health
- Work
- Education
- Creativity
- Personal Life
Impact levels
Stories are also labeled by the scale of impact described:
- Life-Changing — AI contributed to a major outcome such as a medical diagnosis or major opportunity
- Major Help — AI solved a significant challenge or enabled an important result
- Everyday Help — AI made a meaningful task easier or faster
- Small Win — a quick improvement or helpful moment
These labels help readers explore the range of ways AI is being used.
4. Evidence levels
Stories are primarily self-reported experiences.
When available, stories may include supporting material such as:
- news reports
- research publications
- videos or interviews
- documentation of the project or result
Supporting links are included to provide additional context, but most stories are based on personal experiences shared by contributors.
We do not independently verify all claims unless explicitly stated.
5. Attribution and anonymity
Contributors can choose how their story appears.
Options include:
- full name
- first name only
- anonymous
We respect the contributor's choice. Some stories may be published without identifying information.
Contact details provided during submission are used only for editorial communication and are not displayed publicly.
6. AI tools mentioned in stories
Stories may reference specific AI tools used by the contributor.
When tools are mentioned, we may link to official product websites so readers can learn more about them.
These links are provided for informational purposes.
AI Saved Me does not currently receive compensation for tool mentions unless explicitly disclosed.
7. We may decline submissions
Not every submission will be published.
We may decline stories that:
- cannot be reasonably reviewed as genuine experiences
- contain misleading or unsupported claims
- include promotional or marketing content
- violate privacy or safety considerations
Our goal is to maintain a collection of stories that readers can trust.
8. Health-related stories
Stories involving health or medical topics are reviewed with additional care.
When appropriate, we may include supporting sources or additional context. Even so, these stories remain personal experiences, not medical guidance.
9. Independence and non-endorsement
AI Saved Me does not endorse the tools, outcomes, or claims described in stories.
Stories reflect individual experiences.
10. Our mission
Public conversations about artificial intelligence often focus on risks or speculation.
AI Saved Me exists to document something different: real examples of people using AI to solve problems and improve their lives.
By sharing these stories, we hope to create a clearer picture of how AI is already helping people today.
